LATERAL EPICONDYLITIS/ TENNIS ELBOW

Lateral epicondylitis, or tennis elbow, is an overuse injury that causes pain on the outer part of the elbow. It occurs when the tendons that attach to the lateral epicondyle become inflamed or damaged, usually from repetitive motion. Symptoms include pain, tenderness, and weakness in the elbow, especially when gripping or lifting objects. Tennis elbow is common among athletes and people who perform repetitive arm motions. Treatment typically involves rest, ice, anti-inflammatory medications, and physical therapy.
