ADHESIVE CAPSULITIS/ FROZEN SHOULDER

Adhesive capsulitis, or frozen shoulder, is a condition where the shoulder joint becomes stiff and painful, limiting movement. It occurs when the capsule around the shoulder joint thickens and tightens, often without a clear cause. Symptoms include pain, especially at night, and a gradual loss of shoulder mobility. It typically affects people aged 40-60 and is more common in those with diabetes. Treatment involves physical therapy, pain management, and in some cases, corticosteroid injections or surgery.
